Aaron is a highly experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in shoulder, elbow, and knee conditions. He is known for his caring and approachable manner, working closely with each patient to deliver personalised and effective treatment.
Born in Singapore and raised in Perth, Aaron completed his schooling at Scotch College before graduating from the University of Western Australia with a degree in Medicine and Surgery He began his medical career at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and later moved to New South Wales to undertake Orthopaedic surgical training. In 2007, he returned to Western Australia to complete his training.
To further specialise in shoulder and knee surgery, Aaron pursued advanced international fellowships. In France, he trained with internationally recognised shoulder surgeons in Rennes and Lyon, focusing on arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery. He then moved to Canada, joining a leading Sports Shoulder, Elbow & Knee clinic involved in research and the care of professional ice hockey and football athletes.
In 2011, Aaron returned to Perth and took up appointments at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and in private practice at The Orthopaedic Group WA. He remains actively involved in public health, continuing to provide upper limb and trauma services at SCGH. From 2019 to 2025, he served as Head of Department and is currently the supervisor of the SCGH Upper Limb and Trauma Fellowship, which attracts international surgeons for year-long training placements.
Aaron is also dedicated to medical education. He served as a Senior Lecturer in Anatomy at the University of Western Australia from 2012 to 2018, running hands-on courses and laboratory sessions for medical students and surgical trainees. From 2015 to 2018, he was the Director of Orthopaedic Training at SCGH under the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA).
His clinical expertise includes the treatment of all shoulder, elbow, and many knee conditions. He performs minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures, joint replacements, and employs advanced surgical technologies including computer-assisted planning and robotic-assisted surgery.
Aaron consults privately at The Orthopaedic Group in Nedlands and operates at Hollywood Private Hospital.

The Orthopaedic Group WA hand and wrist surgeons have sub-specialty knowledge of hand and wrist anatomy and pathology and are experienced in the management of both degenerative and traumatic conditions. They are fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association, and can advise on both surgical and non-surgical care.
